Job Title: Solaris, Red Hat, and AIX System Administrator

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled system administrator to manage and maintain our infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Solaris, Red Hat, and AIX in both data center and cloud environments.

The successful applicant will be responsible for installing, configuring, administering, patching, upgrading, and troubleshooting these operating systems. Additionally, they will manage and maintain Red Hat Satellite, Puppet, Ansible, Centrify, IBM Symphony, and GPFS.

Apart from these responsibilities, the selected candidate will administer and support Docker and Kubernetes environments. They will also design, implement, and manage OS clustering, partitioning, and virtualization (Solaris Zones, LDOMs, AIX VIOs/LPARs).

Furthermore, the chosen individual will provide day-to-day operational support, including incident resolution, migrations, and performance optimization. They will deploy and manage VMs on AWS and Azure, leveraging services like EC2, S3, ELB, and Auto Scaling.

Other duties will include creating and maintaining environments for batch job cycles and reporting subsystems, developing automation scripts (Shell, Python, Perl, or similar) for system administration tasks, and performing system integration tasks and contributing to root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents.

The role requires excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can work collaboratively as part of a team.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant IT experience in managing and architecting infrastructure environments.
  • Strong experience with Red Hat, Solaris, and AIX in both data center and cloud environments.
  • Expertise in system administration, storage implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on knowledge of high availability (HA) and VCS cluster technologies.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Solid scripting and automation skills.
