Job Title: Unix Systems Administrator

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced system administrator to manage and maintain the stability and security of our system environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating systems, system software, and hardware management.

Responsibilities include:

System and Hardware Management:
• Support and manage various operating systems including Windows Server, Linux (RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu), Solaris, IBM AIX, and Oracle Linux.
• Manage system software and hardware such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, Azure AD, clustering solutions, SAN/NAS storage, and virtualization platforms.

Incident and Problem Management:
• Respond to system incidents according to severity levels and meet service level requirements.
• Handle high-pressure situations, identify problems, and make quick decisions to resolve issues.
• Adhere to incident management workflows and procedures.

Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain and update system documentation, standard operating procedures (SOP), guidelines, and daily checklists.
• Provide timely and accurate reports on system performance, capacity planning, and incident analysis.

Collaboration and Coordination:
• Work closely with third-party vendors, telecommunication operators, ISPs, and other service providers.
• Participate in transition planning and support the onboarding of systems and services.

Compliance and Training:
• Ensure compliance with company policies, information security guidelines, and health and safety regulations.
• Provide continuous training to enhance knowledge and skills in system administration and management.

Requirements:

Education:
• Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.

Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing system and hardware infrastructure.

Certifications:
• ITIL certified, relevant certifications for specific systems (e.g., CCNA, MCSE, RHCSA).

Skills:
• Strong technical knowledge of system and hardware management.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:
Ability to work on different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. On standby and contactable 24/7 for support and escalation.
