Job Title: Chief Quantity Estimator

 

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quantity surveying, with expertise in tendering and budgeting, technical review, compliance and safety, communication, and ad-hoc assignments. They must demonstrate exceptional numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail. Proficiency in relevant software, such as Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, or other surveying tools, is also essential.

 

  • Tendering & Budgeting: Prepare comprehensive tender documents, budgets, resource allocation, bill of quantities, and other relevant documentation to ensure project success.
  • Technical Review: Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and installation plans accurately. Ensure precise measurements and calculations. Review reports to guarantee compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Compliance & Safety: Guarantee that all work complies with building codes, regulations, and environmental standards. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Communication: Collaborate effectively with project managers to develop project plans and timelines. Foster open communication among team members and provide support where needed.
  • Ad-Hoc Assignments: Assist with additional tasks as required to support the project team.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in quantity surveying within the construction or M&E sectors.

Strong knowledge of Singapore construction regulations and project cost estimation.

Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, or other surveying tools).
