Job Title: Quantity Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Estimator to join our organization.

  • Responsible for reviewing and preparing tender documents, as well as generating bill of quantities (BOQ)
  • Conduct on-site details estimating, including measurement and quantity take-off
  • Source and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with established standards
  • Prepare request for quotation (RFQ) documents for procurement
  • Carry out cost comparisons and make recommendations for value engineering
  • Generate letter of awards (LOA) and variation orders (VO) in accordance with project requirements
  • Issue payment certificates to contractors and vendors
  • Maintain accurate records and drawings, adhering to document management protocols

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the estimation process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project estimates
  • Source and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers for quality and pricing
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and contractors

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in construction or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in building construction, with a strong understanding of estimation principles
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Able to work independently, with minimal supervision
