We are seeking a skilled Wok Specialist to join our kitchen team. As a Wok Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing food products according to established standards and ensuring high quality and consistency in your work.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in kitchen operations by preparing ingredients and cooking food according to SOP and standards.
- Maintain high standards of food preparation, quality and consistency by adhering to Kitchen Standard Operating Procedures.
- Minimise wastage and spoilage of ingredients and other food items by effectively managing individual areas of responsibilities.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and safety by performing tasks assigned by management.
- Prior relevant experience in Chinese restaurant environment required.
- Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills necessary for effective communication with Mandarin speaking colleagues.
- Confident, outgoing personality and positive attitude required to cope with fast-paced environment and heavy volume.
- Able to remain calm under pressure and multitask to meet deadlines.
- Fluency in reading, writing and spoken English & Chinese / Mandarin essential for liaising with Mandarin speaking colleagues.
