Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renal Nursing Specialist to join our organization.
Main Responsibilities:- To design, implement, and evaluate structured training programs in renal nursing, covering areas such as dialysis care, renal nutrition, fluid management, and both peritoneal and haemodialysis.
- To establish and maintain optimal clinical learning environments for nursing staff and students.
- To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate preceptorship schemes to support the clinical development of new staff.
- To provide on-the-job training (OJT) for new staff members and assist Nurse Managers in ensuring their competencies.
- To coordinate and organize training activities to strengthen unit-based generic and specialty clinical practices.
- To plan, implement, and evaluate unit-based and discipline-based training courses for nursing staff.
- To ensure appropriate orientation, training, and continuing education opportunities are provided to advance and maintain the required level of competency.
- To assist in the development and implementation of nursing standards to ensure high-quality patient care delivery.
- To act as a resource person to Nurse Managers on clinical nursing and nursing training matters and issues.
- To apply principles to prevent medico-legal issues related to patient care and conduct summative assessments of nursing staff and students.
- Possess Degree in Nursing with valid SNB registration (inclusive of a Specialist Diploma in Clinical Education).
