Key AS400 Infrastructure Role

The AS400 IT Infrastructure Manager oversees the technical infrastructure and system resources of the IBM iSeries (AS400) platform, ensuring reliable, secure, and optimized operation of all hardware, software, and network components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop long-term infrastructure strategies for optimal performance.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of AS400 systems, including hardware, software, storage, and network connectivity.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance through regular analysis and adjustments.
  • Implement industry-standard security protocols and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Lead infrastructure projects such as hardware upgrades, system migrations, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with application teams, business stakeholders, project managers, and vendors to drive success.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an AS/400 Administrator or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of IBM iSeries hardware, OS/400 operating system, and associated software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
