Enterprise IBMi AS400 Systems Manager

Job Description:

This senior-level position oversees the strategic planning and system oversight of all AS400 infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network components.

  • Develop long-term infrastructure strategies to ensure business continuity and scalability.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of AS400 systems, including procurement, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Monitor, tune, and forecast system performance to ensure reliability, availability, and future scalability.
  • Implement security protocols and maintain regulatory compliance across the IBM iSeries environment.
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will possess a strong technical foundation in AS400 systems, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience as an AS400 administrator or similar role.
  • Deep knowledge of IBM iSeries hardware, OS400, SQL, CL, and related tools.
  • Understanding of iSeries application structures, installation, troubleshooting, replication, scheduling, backup, and encryption.
  • IBM iSeries or ITIL certifications, experience in regulated industries, and familiarity with hybrid/cloud iSeries integrations.
