Job Title: Vessel Operations Manager

The primary function of the Vessel Operations Manager is to ensure the effective management of crew operations on board vessels. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and supervising a team of crewing officers to ensure compliance with Company and regulatory requirements.
  • Reviewing and monitoring safe manning levels for all vessels, including minimum safe manning and special manning requirements.
  • Ensuring that all seafarers are trained and qualified in accordance with Company, STCW, and Flag State regulations.
  • Conducting crew changes in accordance with Seafarers' Employment Agreements.
  • Liaising with vessel owners and operators to arrange suitable travel arrangements for seafarers.
  • Coordinating the preparation and distribution of Seafarer Employment Agreements.
  • Maintaining accurate records of seafarer training and certifications.
  • Monitoring crew performance and identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a crewing officer or similar role.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and procedures.

Other information:

The Vessel Operations Manager reports directly to the Crewing Fleet Manager and is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the crewing department.
