Manager, Segment Profit Centre
About the JobDevelop and implement a comprehensive business strategy for Property & Casualty segments, focusing on top-line and bottom-line growth. Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and executing plans to drive business development, product enhancement, and policy wordings review.
- Liaising with Business Units to facilitate referrals and approvals.
- Ensuring timely account replies to Business Units while maintaining prudent technical underwriting practices.
- Collaborating with Governance, Reinsurance, Actuarial, and Claims teams to manage loss ratios.
- Negotiating and underwriting accounts within agreed Risk Acceptance Authorities/Ranges.
- Developing and mentoring junior underwriters/Business Unit staff, explaining decision-making processes.
- Maintaining market engagements and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and Group policies.
To excel in this role, you will require:
- Tertiary qualification and professional insurance certifications.
- At least 6 years of senior/head-level experience in developing and underwriting commercial insurance business and products.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance business and underwriting principles, including pricing, referrals, policy wording reviews, and product enhancements.
- Digitalization savviness, portfolio management, and knowledge of distribution channels structure.
