Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on scope, drawings, and specifications provided.
  • Develop Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and cost plans to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
  • Conduct cost analysis and provide value engineering solutions to optimize costs without compromising on quality.
  • Ensure proper checks and endorsements for all costing and payments.
  • Monitor project costs and expenditures to ensure they stay within the available budget.
Tendering and Procurement
  • Prepare tender documents, including BoQs, specifications, and contract terms.
  • Assist in evaluating tenders and recommending the most cost-effective solutions for procurement.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with contractors and suppliers.
Project Management
  • Manage purchase orders of materials and verify site requests to align with project requirements and timelines.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate closely with subcontractors on progress of work in line with project timeline and requirements.
  • Monitor and measure subcontractors' work and assist in certifying valuations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
  • Track changes to the project scope and prepare cost-impact assessments for variations.
Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and follow up monthly progress claims in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate progress payments and variation orders (VOs).
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing.
