Procurement Leader Opportunity

Job Overview:

Our organization is seeking a seasoned procurement leader to drive strategic sourcing, digital transformation, and empower a high-performing team.

  • Lead a centralized procurement function, ensuring processes align with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage contract renewals, maintaining an up-to-date contract register and ensuring compliance.
  • Develop forward-looking procurement strategies and policies that drive efficiency and value.
  • Analyse and review procurement data and vendor performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and report insights to management.
  • Stay ahead of market trends to guide competitive sourcing and strategic vendor decisions.
  • Take ownership of procurement budgeting, forecasting, and support audit requirements.
  • Champion the implementation of e-procurement systems and drive continuous process improvements across the function.
  • Mentor, develop, and guide the procurement team, fostering a culture of performance, innovation, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 10 years of relevant procurement experience, with a strong track record in team leadership and performance management.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 Materials Management highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of government procurement policies.
  • Proven experience in e-procurement implementation and a strong grasp of digital procurement platforms and tools.
  • Confident in presenting and training internal stakeholders on procurement processes and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills – able to translate complex procurement challenges into actionable solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Candidates should demonstrate a strong track record in team leadership, performance management, and digital transformation.
