Job Description:
Connect Energy partners with an Engineering company in the process industry to look for a strategic Procurement Director to oversee the team in Singapore.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement an organization wide procurement strategy that aligns with organization's vision with current and long term business objectives
- Be an effective communicator with the procurement teams in areas of commodity sourcing, supplier and overall procurement / inventory management.
- To prepare duty exemption list and submit to customer for approval, especially for overseas projects
- Develop, align and implement procurement policies and practices that ensure consistencies and in accordance to audit requirements
- Participate and support in the regular global materials cost reduction negotiation with suppliers leveraging on the global volume
- Work in Cross functional team to develop alternate sources within each commodity to leverage value
- Drive supplier for value engineering to improve cost
- Seek and develop new suppliers for cost reduction
- Lead a team or Procurement staffs to manage procurement activities
- Drive procurement initiatives, policies, disciplines and strategies

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Certificate in Purchasing Management
- Min. 10 years experience in relevant field, preferably for oil and gas and petrol chemical construction industry.
- Good negotiator and savvy in commercial matters
- Very experience in equipment and materials in oil and gas / marine / shipping industries.
- Willing to work in western part of Singapore
