Procurement Excellence - A Leadership Role

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Sourcing Expert to spearhead procurement efforts and drive operational excellence within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise a high-performing procurement team to optimize sourcing decisions and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with our business objectives.
  • Plan, organize, and control purchasing activities across various departments to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain an efficient and reliable purchasing system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse market trends, supplier offerings, and industry developments to inform strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Prepare and evaluate tender documents, negotiate contracts, and recommend supplier awards.
  • Audit purchase orders and payments to ensure alignment with financial controls.
  • Oversee asset disposal in accordance with company policies and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of procurement experience, preferably in a project or industrial setting.
  • Proven track record in managing complex procurement processes and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships with suppliers.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to support project documentation and timelines.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific benchmarks, such as the BCA index.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience in contract variation, claims, or project cost tracking.
  • Background in supporting procurement for construction, infrastructure, or manufacturing projects.
