Job Title: Wok Line Cook

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Wok Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Chinese and/or Seafood Restaurant kitchen wok station, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Head Chef in cooking and plating high-volume wok dishes with speed and precision.
  • Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines strictly.
  • Ensure wok station cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and preparation of dishes and ingredients before the beginning of service.
  • Monitor food temperatures and freshness to meet food safety standards.
  • Practice portion control and minimize food waste.
  • Assist in receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies.
  • Collaborate with kitchen assistants and other cooks to support kitchen flow.
  • Report on any equipment or food safety issues to the Head Chef immediately.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Strong understanding of wok techniques, heat control, and food timing.
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety protocols.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
  • Able to work 10 hours shift (6 days work week), weekends, and public holidays.
