Guest Service Supervisor - Japanese Language Proficiency Required
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Guest Service Supervisor to join our Front Office team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's front desk, concierge, communications, and club lounge functions.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for guest issues and hotel emergencies in the absence of senior management.
- Provide exceptional customer service, with a focus on Japanese-speaking guests to ensure their needs are met.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales strategies for Japanese companies.
You will lead by example, fostering a positive work culture that encourages teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
Additional Responsibilities- Leading daily operations meetings in the absence of the Front Office Manager.
- Reviewing guest feedback to inform management decisions.
- Staying up-to-date with industry best practices to recommend improvements.
- Driving Front Office initiatives and goals, such as upselling and Trip Advisor rankings.
- Developing and implementing strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback to team members.
- Assisting with budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control measures.
- Maintaining high service standards among Front Office staff.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Japanese proficiency required.
- At least 2 years of hospitality experience.
- Diploma in Hotel Management or Diploma in Tourism Studies preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Basic knowledge of F&B service operations a plus.
- Able to work weekends, public holidays, and 3 rotating shifts.
