
Front Office Supervisor

The Front Office Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the front office. The role is responsible for ensuring smooth delivery of exceptional services to guests, including during night shifts if applicable.
This position requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and delegate duties to supervisors. Developing weekly schedules, monitoring team attendance, and maintaining a leave calendar are also key responsibilities.
The Front Office Supervisor will also be responsible for supervising all sections and improving operational standards where possible. This includes planning and organizing departmental training sessions for staff on courtesy, efficiency, and job knowledge.
A key aspect of this role is ensuring good communication and cooperation between the front office department and other departments. The successful candidate will also be responsible for controlling expenses within the front office department and maintaining a personalized service standard at reception.
Key areas of focus include liaising closely with Housekeeping to ensure optimum room availability and meeting guest requirements, as well as actively taking part in Sales Activity within the hotel.
The Front Office Supervisor will read reservation correspondence prior to guest arrival, updating and correcting information in RMS accordingly. Daily briefings will also be conducted, and special rooms will be blocked and checked prior to guest arrival.
