Japanese Kitchen Team Lead Position

A leading role in a fast-paced kitchen environment is available for a seasoned Culinary Team Lead who excels at preparing and cooking signature Japanese dishes. The ideal candidate must oversee daily kitchen operations, mentor junior staff, and maintain high standards of quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook authentic Japanese cuisine including sushi, tempura, and grilled specialties.
- Oversee the smooth flow of service and ensure all dishes meet the highest standards of presentation and taste.
- Lead and train junior staff on preparation, cooking, and plating techniques.
- Assist with inventory checks and order ingredients to keep the kitchen well-stocked.
- At least 2 years of experience in a hands-on kitchen environment, preferably with Japanese cuisine knowledge.
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
- A team-oriented mindset and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
