This role plays a critical part in maintaining and continuously improving shipboard and training operations for Disney Cruise Line. You will work closely with the Director-Marine & Technical Operations to ensure high standards are met and exceeded in marine, safety, and environmental protection.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for STCW/SOLAS compliance
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of required documentation and reports
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulations governing the Marine industry under IMO, such as ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL STCW, CLIA
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute operational strategies

Requirements:

  • Strategic planner with sound technical and people skills, analytical ability, sound judgment, and operational focus
  • Marine /Safety Training experience, great communication skills, leadership
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to take regulatory issues and requirements and condense them into simple, understandable, and executable guidance and operating procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Former Deck Officer and/or working in a Maritime Training facility
  • Deep business knowledge related to training operations
