Job Title: Marine Fleet Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Marine Fleet Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and deploying a team of specialists to carry out maintenance and repair work on marine crafts.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Organise, lead and deploy a team of specialists to carry out maintenance and repair work on marine crafts;
  • Update the management team on daily manpower deployment;
  • Coordinate with the operations team daily for repair and maintenance of marine crafts and provide feedback on readiness;
  • Take lead in driving fleet innovation and newbuild projects;
  • Review inventory and non-stock items and propose recommendations for spares;
  • Plan and monitor the maintenance schedule of all equipment onboard marine crafts and in the workshop;
  • Engage external stakeholders to carry out scheduled docking and project manage jobs;
  • Develop plans for learning and development, performance and discipline of the team;
  • Mentor, coach and motivate the team to achieve targets;
  • Work with managers to create a conducive working environment;
  • Upkeep and maintain documentation records of assets, jobs done, purchase for spares, special tools and manpower utilisation;
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent;
  • Good cross-discipline knowledge in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering domain;
  • Good knowledge of electrical and instrument systems and familiar with electrical schematics diagram and symbols;
  • Good leadership qualities and problem-solving skills;
  • Good interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships;
  • Good communications skills including written and presentation skills;
