Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Fleet Operations Specialist to join our team.

This is a critical role that requires a deep understanding of marine operations, training procedures, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the shipboard and training operations for our fleet.

The Marine Fleet Operations Specialist will develop and implement training strategies for shipboard and shoreside professional training, ensuring compliance with applicable Flag State, Port State, and IMO requirements. This includes verifying and maintaining process guarantees that company professional training requirements are met for all officers and crew.

The ideal candidate will have extensive working knowledge and depth understanding of the industry, company, and ships' training systems and operation. They must display great knowledge of regulations governing the marine industry under IMO, such as ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL STCW, CLIA, and understand how to access information when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and continuously improve shipboard and training operations for our fleet
  • Develop and implement training strategies for shipboard and shoreside professional training
  • Verify and maintain process guarantees that company professional training requirements are met for all officers and crew
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Flag State, Port State, and IMO requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strategic planner with sound technical and people skills, analytical ability, sound judgment, and operational focus
  • Marine/Safety Training experience, great communication skills, leadership
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management
  • Ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a highly diverse environment
  • Ability to manage day-to-day operations of the fleet training operations and short-term strategies for the development of the ships/islands and professional training program
