  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and take pride in your work, reflecting in the quality of products for our guests.
  • Aware of and adhere to company policies and statutory requirements regarding health and safety, sanitation, and fire procedures.
  • Report maintenance defects using the correct procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of grooming for yourself and colleagues, ensuring good customer relations.
  • Report to work on time and notify management of any sickness or absence using the correct procedures.

Culinary Standards

  • Monitor food production to ensure compliance with recipes and specifications.
  • Ensure quality of food items according to standards, including sanitation and 'First in First out' kitchen best practice.
  • Properly store food products in fridges and containers throughout a shift.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in culinary work areas.
  • Ensure safe and proper use of equipment and instruct colleagues accordingly.

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma and Certification in Patisserie or Bakery.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a pastry or bakery professional.
  • Able to identify different raw materials and cuisines.
  • Basic cooking and sanitary knowledge.
  • Monitoring of cooking preparation techniques and knife utilization.
  • Well-groomed, professional appearance.
  • Willing and able to work shift work.
