
Help Desk Specialist

The role of a Help Desk Specialist involves providing technical support to end-users, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their jobs efficiently. This includes supporting desktops, laptops, printers, IP phones, and video conferencing equipment, as well as installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Microsoft operating systems and software.
Responsibilities:
- Support end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, and IP phones.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain Microsoft operating systems and software.
- Provide first-level support for business applications, including Bloomberg and internal trading applications.
- Perform morning checks on applications and infrastructure systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user queries in a timely manner.
- Assist with onboarding new employees and terminating access rights for departing staff.
- Manage software and hardware inventory.
- Collaborate with global IT teams on project implementations, such as testing, upgrades, migrations, and moves.
- Ensure security and compliance in the end-user computing space.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and software.
- Familiarity with business applications, including Bloomberg.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and networking principles.
