Banquet Operations Leader

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to multitask with ease. As an Assistant Banquet Manager/Manager, you will oversee the successful execution of banquets, ensuring seamless service and exceeding guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train staff in setting up and breaking down banquet rooms according to contract specifications and manager’s instructions
  • Oversee the service of food and beverages, maintaining high standards of quality and service
  • Communicate frequently with supervisors to ensure smooth operation of daily tasks
  • Interact with guests to guarantee their needs are being met
  • Maintain cleanliness of banquet rooms, pantry, public areas, and storage spaces
  • Manage inventory of necessary supplies
  • Direct and coordinate activities of assigned personnel and departmental responsibilities
  • Train staff in high standards of quality and service
  • Ensure coordination of banquet service needs with food production
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to staff
  • Enforce good safety practices among employees and assist in maintaining emergency action plans and security procedures
  • Ensure adherence to hotel standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, and appearance

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Banquet Manager/Manager or similar role
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and practices
