Public Policy Strategist - Southeast Asia

We are looking for a seasoned public policy professional to join our team in Southeast Asia. As a Public Policy Strategist, you will play a critical role in shaping our company's policies and initiatives in the region.

Job Description

Our ideal candidate has a strong background in public policy, with extensive experience working with policymakers and stakeholders across Southeast Asia. You will be responsible for identifying, monitoring, and analyzing policy issues affecting our company in the region.

You will also develop and execute policy strategies around key issues important to us, as well as advise internal stakeholders on policy matters that inform product development and business operations.

As a strategic thinker, you will articulate our public policy positions and produce briefing papers and consultation responses. Your ability to communicate complex policy issues in a clear and concise manner is essential.

Additionally, you will maintain and build relationships with SEA policymakers and political figures, and assist the wider public policy team on ongoing projects and initiatives.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or higher in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, International Relations, Media, Technology, or related field of study, as well as 10+ years of experience working with policymakers and stakeholders across Southeast Asia.

Key skills and qualifications include deep knowledge of the Southeast Asia policymaking process, extensive experience in intelligence collection and analysis, strategy development, project management, and cross-functional partnership.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as well as passion for public policy issues in Southeast Asia. A solutions-driven and results-oriented approach to strategic thinking is required.

Based in Singapore, this role requires a high level of autonomy and self-direction, with the ability to define your own work and processes. Collaboration and partnership are highly valued, as well as a calm and composed demeanor when interacting with clients at all levels.
