Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance and Control (QA/QC) Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of construction projects by implementing effective QA/QC procedures and protocols.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA/QC engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry. They will possess excellent knowledge of quality management principles and have experience with implementing QMS. Additionally, they should be proficient in construction management software and QA/QC documentation tools.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular site visits and inspections to ensure product quality meets design parameters and technical requirements. They will also supervise and manage all visual inspections and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) procedures, including those carried out by third-party subcontractors.
The role involves issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when activities deviate from approved drawings and contract specifications. The candidate will also monitor corrective actions and process improvement, as well as ensuring proper defect rectification of subcontractor workers across all trades.
Other responsibilities include coordinating with Qualified Persons (QPs) and consultants & RE to resolve and close Non-Conformance notices. Monitoring & reporting to project leading teams until NCR close. Preparing and submitting Method Statements, Quality Records, Test Activities, Material Submissions, and Concrete Design Mixes for consultant approval. Updating and submitting monthly progress reports related to quality matters to authorities, especially for CONQUAS/QM requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Degree in QA/QC Engineering or Construction-related field.
- Minimum 5 years QA/QC experience in the local construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of quality management principles and experience with implementing QMS.
- Proficiency in construction management software and QA/QC documentation tools.
- Experience in building construction works.
- BCA CONQUAS/Quality Mark Manager/supervisor certification is preferred.
