Job Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the contract manager in providing support to project management teams.
  • Administer contracts in accordance with contractual obligations and cost management strategies.
  • Carry out pre-tender activities, including site show rounds and tender drawings/documents review.
  • Clarify discrepancies in scope of work and drawings with consultants.
  • Replace addendum drawings and BQ pages after clarifications.
  • Seek quotations from respective trades and follow up on submission.
  • Review tender pricing with the contract manager and understand project schedule, profit margin, and goodwill discount.
  • Attend tender interviews and review tender reply with the contract manager.
  • Review letter of appointments, contract drawings, and documents for deviations from the tender.
  • Attend project kick-off meetings and brief the scope of works with the project team and management.
  • Making arrangements for insurance, factory license, bond, pre-construction survey, fit-out deposit if required.
  • Follow up on sample submissions and attend consultant meetings with the Project Manager.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and appoint specialist sub-contractors based on trade.
  • Submit VO cost on a day-to-day or weekly basis and communicate with the project manager.

Requirements
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in quantity surveying
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
