Backend Software Engineer

Protecting users from harmful content and abusive behaviors is crucial for a seamless online experience. At TikTok, our Trust and Safety (TnS) platform team works tirelessly to achieve this goal.

  • Design and develop server-side applications that ensure user safety and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence in data-driven solutions.
  • Develop architecture designs, technical solutions, and demand development for the data platform.

For success in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of software development experience.
  • Familiarity with two programming languages: Golang, Python, or Java.
  • Proficiency in big data processing and analysis tools like Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Storm, Spark, Kylin, Scribe, Kafka, HBase, Canal, Sqoop.
  • Strong coding skills and fast troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for continuous learning.
