Job Description

Cathay Pacific is seeking a highly skilled Senior Privacy, Data & AI Compliance Legal Counsel to join its Group Legal and Compliance department. The ideal candidate will have experience in advising on data protection regulations, artificial intelligence laws, and data security standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of frameworks to comply with data protection and artificial intelligence laws.
  • Manage incident response processes, including investigation, reporting, and advise on controls to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage timely responses to privacy-related individuals' rights requests and oversee responses to data access requirements from law enforcement and other authorities.
  • Support business units in executing assessments to comply with data laws, including privacy impact assessments and legitimate interest assessments.
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Experience in advising on data protection regulations, artificial intelligence laws, and data security standards.
  • Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR, PDPO, PIPL, and EU AI Act.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
