System Protection Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled System Protection Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining data protection solutions that ensure data availability and business continuity according to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement backup and recovery strategies for virtual, physical, cloud, and other environments.
  • Install, configure, and manage data protection software and hardware.
  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and performance optimization of backup and recovery systems.
  • Troubleshoot backup and recovery issues, providing technical support to users and other IT staff.
  • Testing and manage disaster recovery plans, ensuring data can be restored quickly in case of failures.
  • Work with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of data protection solutions with the wider IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and disaster recovery standards.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Expertise in Veeam Backup & Replication and other data protection software.
  • Experience with Windows Server and operating system administration.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
