**Job Title:** Mortuary Support Professional

The role of a Mortuary Support Professional involves providing critical support to funeral services, ensuring smooth and respectful procedures for families during their time of need.

  • Key responsibilities include the collection and transportation of deceased individuals, preparation of coffins and encoffining, loading and unloading heavy items/coffins, assisting during funeral rites, closing caskets, and guiding bereaved families.
  • Mortuary Support Professionals also drive a funeral hearse, supporting funeral advisors to ensure efficient proceedings and maintaining company vehicle and premises tidiness.

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A valid Class 3/3A driving license
  • Be physically capable of lifting heavy weights (up to 25kg) and performing manual labor
  • Be computer literate
  • Be willing to work shifts and overtime as required
  • Be comfortable with tasks involving close contact with deceased individuals
  • Display compassion when interacting with bereaved families
