Job Summary

Dow Jones is seeking a highly skilled Research and Analysis Associate Director to lead the regional market research and analytic services for Chemical Market Analytics (CMA) in Asia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality research and implementing commercial strategies to achieve clients and revenue growth in the region. This role requires a strong understanding of global trends and an ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to support business line goals for organic top line and bottom line growth in terms of new products, services, and solutions.
  • Provide ongoing analysis of the Asian propylene derivative markets, including acrylic acid, acrylates, super absorbent polymer (SAP), MMA, oxo-alcohols, and related derivatives.
  • Build and nourish relationships with key regional industry contacts and pursue face-to-face client industry contacts and speaking engagements to market CMA capabilities.

Requirements

  • 10 years industry experience, preferably in the chemical industry.
  • Extensive work experience in the petrochemical and olefin markets with knowledge of one or more of the following focus areas: oxo-alcohols, plasticizer, acrylic acid, acrylates, MMA, super absorbent polymer.
  • A Chemical Engineering or closely related science degree is preferred. MBA a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence to speak and present to global clients at external events.
