We are seeking a skilled and experienced Laboratory Manager to lead our clinical laboratory operations in Singapore.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a licensed clinical laboratory, with expertise in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) techniques and spatial genomics. They should also have knowledge of regulatory guidelines, quality management systems, and clinical accreditation standards such as ISO15189 and CAP.

As a Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing various laboratory protocols, training and managing lab staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and troubleshooting and optimizing protocols for maximum data quality and output.

You will also assist the relevant Clinical Governance Officer and Laboratory Director in the day-to-day technical management of the laboratory services, participate in internal and external audits, and operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.

In addition to your technical skills and experience, you should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Laboratory Science, Biotechnology, Life Science or a related field
  • At least 5 years of working experience in a licensed clinical laboratory and qualifications to act as Laboratory Manager / Section Lead for a licensed laboratory in Singapore
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines, quality management systems, and/or clinical accreditation such as CAP or ISO is required
