Scientist, Laboratory of AI in Genomics (GIS)

Job duties and responsibilities:
We seek talented individuals in computer science to advance cancer genomics research, utilizing artificial intelligence or classical algorithms. Your role will involve developing new algorithms or deep learning models to understand cancer genomes, focusing on de novo genome assembly or creating generative models for RNA/DNA/epigenome/epitranscriptome to accelerate therapeutics development. Responsibilities include assisting with grant proposals and project management.
Job Requirements:
- PhD in computer science, mathematics, or physics
- Experience in deep learning or classical algorithms
- Proficiency with Pytorch, C/C++, or Rust
- At least one first-author publication or preprint from PhD or MSc work
- Experience with bioinformatics tools for variant calling, de novo assembly, or long read sequencing analysis
- Proficiency in Python and genomics/machine learning libraries
- Strong interest in programming, algorithms, mathematics, and problem-solving
