**Roles & Responsibilities**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Work with the leadership and scientific teams to set strategy for service offerings and marketing efforts.
- Oversee laboratory staff, hire appropriate personnel, participate in lab works and monitor progress of projects and workflows
- Engage with prospective customers to understand their needs and collaborate to deliver the best possible solutions for their projects
- Engage with technology vendors on the latest techniques and equipment that may become part of company offerings
- Support the organization and execution of events and conferences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Advanced Degree (ie. PhD preferred) in life science, biotechnology or medical technology. Post-doctoral experience is a plus.
- Passion for cutting edge technologies - especially Next Generation DNA sequencing (NGS) and long-read sequencing. Experience with spatial genomics is a plus.
- Comfortable in start-up environment and thrive on juggling multiple tasks in a fun and fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of laboratory regulatory and accreditation processes, such as ISO, CAP and QMS systems is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience leading a team is a plus.
