The Data Storage team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of business applications. Their responsibilities encompass design, deployment, and maintenance of Enterprise Storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Storage Design: Define, design, and implement enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, object storage, cloud storage).
  • Storage Administration: Manage day-to-day storage provisioning, capacity planning, performance tuning, and monitoring.
  • Data Protection: Oversee backup, replication, disaster recovery, and data retention strategies.
  • Automation and Optimization: Implement automation scripts and processes to improve storage efficiency and reliability.
  • Troubleshooting: Lead troubleshooting for storage-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Security and Compliance: Maintain storage systems in line with security standards, audits, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work with infrastructure, database, virtualization, and application teams to support business requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with storage vendors and recommend upgrades or new technologies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for storage configurations, procedures, and standards.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of IT experience in administering Enterprise Storage design, deployment, and operations.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Good experience in enterprise backup solutions design and operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of security, risk, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in scripting languages like bash, Powershell, and other automation tools for operational efficiency.
  • Ability to direct project design and planning activities for complex network infrastructure development projects.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
