Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled content writer and social media specialist to join the SBF Communications team. The ideal candidate will be someone who is up-to-date with digital industry trends and best practices and adept at creating engaging content across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of the organisation's brand positioning and create content that effectively communicates this across various platforms.
  • Manage the editorial calendar for SBF's social media channels, including monitoring and reporting performance, analysing statistics to inform content strategy, and creating engaging content for social media, emailers, and other marketing channels.
  • Attend events, conduct interviews, take photos, and create engaging content for various platforms.
  • Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to SBF's tone of voice and brand personality.
Media Management
  • Support the media relations efforts of the Federation, including preparation of media lists, drafting media invites, and press releases.
  • Onsite liaison with journalists at key events and follow-up on their queries.
  • Support the logistics preparations for media events such as press conferences and interviews.
Requirements
  • More than 3 years' experience in a relevant role.
  • Strong project management skills, including ability to manage multiple projects, meeting tight deadlines, and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and driving engagement through innovative communication strategies.
  • Experience in economic/trade/business-related fields and managing vendors will be an advantage.
Competencies
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
  • Proactive in driving projects with minimal supervision.
  • Strong planning, project management skills, and performance-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proficient in English and preferably in a second language.
