Private Swimming Coach Position

This role involves providing personalized swimming lessons to children, tailored to their skill level, learning pace, and goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching swimming and helping children develop confidence and skills in the water.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach water safety, basic swimming techniques, and advanced strokes suitable for the child's age and abilities.
  • Create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment that fosters confidence and enjoyment in the water.
  • Regularly assess each student's progress and modify lesson plans to meet their evolving needs and skill development.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with learning or special needs, ensuring inclusivity in every lesson.
  • Collaborate closely with families to discuss progress, provide feedback, and offer guidance on how to practice swimming skills outside of lessons.
  • Maintain strict safety standards at all times during lessons, adhering to best practices for water safety and first aid.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certified swimming instructor with recognized qualifications from reputable organizations.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification is mandatory.
  • Previous experience teaching swimming to children, particularly in one-on-one settings.
  • Experience working with children with learning or special needs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient, encouraging, and safety-first approach to teaching.
  • Ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and individual needs.
