Swimming Coach Position

We are seeking a qualified and experienced swimming coach to join our team of aquatic professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Freelance Private Swimming Coach, helping children develop their confidence and skills in the water.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taught one-on-one swimming lessons tailored to each child's skill level, learning pace, and goals.
  • Instructed water safety, basic swimming techniques, and advanced strokes suitable for the child's age and abilities.
  • Created a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment that encouraged confidence and enjoyment in the water.
  • Evaluated each student's progress regularly and modified lesson plans to meet their evolving needs and skill development.
  • Adapted teaching methods to accommodate children with learning or special needs, ensuring inclusivity in every lesson.
  • Collaborated with families to discuss progress, provide feedback, and offer guidance on how to practice swimming skills outside of lessons.
  • Maintained safety standards at all times during lessons, adhering to best practices for water safety and first aid.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A certified swimming instructor with recognized qualifications from organizations such as the Singapore Swimming Association (SSA), SwimSafer, or equivalent.
  • A valid First Aid and CPR certification was required.
  • Prior experience teaching swimming to children, particularly in a one-on-one setting, was necessary.
  • Experience working with children with learning or special needs was beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient, encouraging, and safety-first approach to teaching, were essential.
  • The ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and individual needs was required.
  • A passion for teaching swimming and helping children develop their confidence and skills in the water was necessary.
