Accounting Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in ship management or shipping companies, with a strong background in accounting-related tasks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and responding to expense reports, verifying the content and figures of these reports, and ensuring their accuracy. They will also create invoices and deliver them to clients, upload documents and data to accounting firms, prepare payment requests, and prepare internal reports.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and responding to expense reports from ship management companies;
  • Verifying the content and figures of these reports and inquiring about any errors or uncertainties;
  • Creating invoices and delivering them to clients;
  • Uploading documents and data to accounting firms;
  • Preparing payment requests;
  • Preparing internal reports.

Requirements for the position include:

  • A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in ship expense budgeting or accounting-related tasks in a ship management company or ship owner;
  • Ability to sincerely respond to instructions and inquiries from the Japanese head office;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of Japanese culture and business practices;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
