We are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to join our marine sector team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing the entire sales process, including quotation, order processing, invoicing, and delivery arrangement. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, as you will work closely with new and existing customers to understand their needs and preferences. You will also handle system operations for quotation and order processing, monitor payment schedules, and prepare shipping documentation. Additionally, you will assist in preparing sales reports and follow up on sales enquiries. You must have a minimum Diploma or equivalent, at least 5-6 years of relevant experience, and hands-on experience in order processing and shipping documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) and strong communication skills are essential. Japanese language skills are an added advantage for liaising with our Japan HQ. Familiarity with shipping Incoterms is also required.
Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with new and existing customers
- Handle system operations for quotation and order processing
- Monitor customers' payment schedules and chase outstanding invoices
- Prepare shipping documentation and liaise with freight forwarders
- Assist in preparing sales reports and follow up on sales enquiries
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or equivalent
- At least 5-6 years of relevant working experience
- Hands-on experience in order processing and shipping documentation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with shipping Incoterms
