Job Title: Fire Alarm Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Systems Specialist to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire protection and fire alarm systems.

You will conduct troubleshooting, repair, testing, and commissioning of Fire Alarm Systems, including fire alarm panels, mimic panels, detectors, and fire modules. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of general fire alarm and fire protection systems and be able to ensure quality work is carried out on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, Maintenance and Servicing: Install, maintain, and service fire protection and fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Conduct troubleshooting and repair of Fire Alarm Systems to identify and rectify any issues.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Test and commission Fire Alarm Systems to ensure they meet established standards.
  • On-site Inspection and Testing: Perform on-site building fire alarm and protection systems inspection and testing in accordance with established standards.
  • Reviewing System Breakdowns: Review system breakdowns and troubleshoot to identify root causes.
  • Identifying Functional Problems: Identify functional problems and weaknesses in Fire Alarm Systems and propose improvements to supervisors.
  • Liaising with Suppliers: Liaise with suppliers and other stakeholders to handle faults and emergencies.

Requirements:

To be successful as a Fire Alarm Systems Specialist, you will need:

NITEC in Engineering: A National ITE Certificate (NITEC) in Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Minimum 3 Years Relevant Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in the fire/safety industry.

Strong Team Player Skills: Strong team player skills with ability to work independently and quickly learn new concepts.

Valid Class 3 Driving License: Possess a valid Class 3 driving license and be able to drive a van.
