Fire Protection System Specialist

The role of a Fire Protection System Specialist is multifaceted and demanding. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective installation, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate all fire protection system works, including fire alarm, sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, and suppression systems.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and authority requirements.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities to resolve design and site issues.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems.
  • Provide technical support during project execution and ensure timely delivery of fire-related works.
  • Prepare reports, method statements, and documentation for submission.
  • Support safety compliance and risk assessments related to fire protection systems.
Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in fire services works.
  • Familiarity with local regulations, SCDF Codes of Practice, and FSSD submission procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure to ensure good site progress.
  • Good safety knowledge and attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated with good organizational skills and ability to liaise with the authorities.
