Senior Marine Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Marine Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the repair and maintenance of ships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to ensure timely completion of repair jobs and coordinate with other teams as needed.
  • Carry out maintenance, service, and repair of all mechanical equipment on board ships, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Troubleshoot all mechanical equipment on board vessels, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Plan and execute repair jobs in the most cost-effective method, minimizing downtime and expenses.
  • Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment, and cleanliness in the workshop, adhering to safety standards.
  • Attend to vessels dry-dock as assigned by project managers, collaborating with other teams to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Carry out retrofit jobs for new equipment installation on board vessels, upgrading systems to improve efficiency.
  • Train new joined workers on procedures and best practices, enhancing their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Certificate in Marine Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years relevant working experience, demonstrating expertise in ship repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to read drawings and write service reports using PC or tablet, showcasing strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work on site, on ship, and in workshop, adapting to different environments and situations.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and permit-to-work systems, prioritizing employee safety and well-being.
