Service Advisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Advisor to provide exceptional customer service and support in our automotive service team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and review the customer's service file from the front desk team.
  • Conduct a detailed consultation with the customer to understand their concerns and issues.
  • Analyse the nature of the problem to determine whether it is due to normal wear and tear or premature or unexpected malfunction.
  • Liaise with workshop technicians for a technical review and inspection.
  • Determine if repairs are chargeable or complimentary based on warranty status.
  • Clearly explain technical issues and proposed solutions to customers.
  • Provide cost estimates, obtain approval, and manage job authorisation.
  • Track and update customers on job progress and estimated completion times.
  • Prepare job cards, service reports, and final documentation.
  • Coordinate smooth vehicle handover upon job completion.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service experience.

Requirements

  • Nitec in Automotive Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • GCE 'O'/'N'/'A' Levels or Diploma holders welcome.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a service advisor or in customer service in an automotive environment.
  • Sound knowledge of vehicle systems and repair processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Well-organised, with good time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and workshop management systems.
  • Valid Class 3 driving licence.
