Drive Pricing Excellence in APAC

This role plays a pivotal part in driving pricing strategy across the AP region, focusing on standardizing processes, systems, and governance. The successful candidate will collaborate with AP regional teams to accelerate annual positive pricing impact, contributing to revenue growth. They will also work with pricing teams in other global sales regions and product groups to ensure the roll-out of global pricing excellence in AP.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and drive the implementation and execution of pricing strategy, processes, tools, and pricing governance in APAC.
  • Develop and execute a strategic pricing program to improve price performance by creating value-based approaches for list price and discounting logics.
  • Support the implementation of annual pricing rounds to optimize profitability for each Profit Centre.
  • Drive the improvement and implementation of the annual pricing process for list price and NDP.
  • Influence the commercial organization towards value-based pricing.
  • Lead pricing governance and monthly reviews with key stakeholders, analyzing pricing objectives, issues, performance, and generating action plans to drive price growth. Implement processes to monitor local adherence to agreed pricing strategies.
  • Partner with commercial organization and product management teams to ensure the deployment of strategic value-add selling processes.
  • Roll-out global pricing governance and pricing excellence initiatives.
  • Contribute to the annual AOP process, PLM, pricing, and volume analysis for product launches and other business strategy development activities.
  • Manage and develop a pricing team to support pricing initiatives in AP.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or MBA preferred; scientific background welcomed.
  • 5+ years of experience managing pricing across multiple countries.
  • Strong pricing-related experience - financial modeling, data management, and statistical techniques.
  • Proven track record in influencing commercial management through price and profitability management.
  • Influencing and change management skills, ability to communicate and acquire complex ideas.
  • Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and execute - process orientation to drive results.
