Junior Trade Operations Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Junior Trade Operations professional to join our team.

  • Prepare and negotiate terms and conditions for sales and purchase contracts.
  • Liaise with suppliers, buyers, surveyors, bankers, ship owners/brokers, cargo agents, and insurance brokers.
  • Monitor and manage operations functions such as logistics, including liaising with terminals, vessel operators, cargo surveyors, agents, and customers on oil loading/discharging operations.
  • Proactively manage and recover demurrage, oil loss, and insurance claims.
  • Knowledge of trade finance transactions (ILC, TR, freight loan, ELC discounting) is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of trade documents.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide support for trading activities, including commodity valuation and risk management.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and other relevant software applications.
