Trade Operations Specialist Role

As a Trade Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for processing daily trade transactions within agreed service levels. Your key responsibilities will include reviewing and validating customer submissions, conducting documentary checks as necessary, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, bank policies, guidelines, controls, and compliance standards.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Process daily trade transactions efficiently and effectively.
  • Review and validate customer submissions, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
  • Conduct documentary checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent communication and support.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve process improvements and resolve transaction-related queries.
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in Banking & Finance or related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of trade operations principles, including UCP, ISBP, URC, ISP, and URDG.
  • At least 5-7 years of trade operations experience covering imports and exports.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and risk awareness skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting, taking initiative and driving results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
