About The Role
Grasshopper seeks an experienced Trading Operations Specialist to join the Operations team. This role involves close collaboration with trading teams, middle office, brokers and other relevant counterparties to ensure smooth execution of our trading strategies and maintaining operational excellence across our trading platforms.
Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and correct reconciliation for trades and positions across different markets, addressing any anomalies promptly
• Work closely with different trading teams and related middle office teams to handle booking of trades, stock borrows and operational requests in a timely manner
• Communicate with counterparties to manage and facilitate various operations such as trade confirmation, stock borrow lending, settlements, corporate actions and cross border/ conversion
• Collaborate with the technology teams to improve and develop controls or systems to support trading activities and maintain robust reporting processes
• Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and reduce risk, in adherence to Grasshopper’s policies and various regulatory requirements appropriately
• Contribute to developing/testing operational controls and features to support trading
• Escalate and resolve operational issues promptly
  

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-frequency or algorithmic trading environment
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Capital Markets products, including Securities (Equities, Fixed Income, ETFs.) and Derivatives (Futures and Options), along with a comprehensive grasp of the trade and settlement life cycle
• Understanding of stock borrow lending market and activity
• Deep Excel proficiency
• Proficiency in Python is preferred for process automation/improvement
• Willingness to provide support in the early/late hours to cover markets such as Australia and India
• Able to work on Singapore Public Holidays when required (off in lieu will be provided)
