Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled professional to join our Communications and Events Team. The successful candidate will be tasked with crafting and implementing impactful communication strategies, managing digital media, and facilitating internal and external communications to support the school's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership in Communication and Events: Design and execute comprehensive communication strategies to bolster the reputation of WKWSCI. Manage administrative functions related to marketing initiatives, including service procurement and budget oversight. Handle crisis management effectively.
- Digital Media Oversight: Develop and implement a robust digital media strategy through competitive analysis, platform selection, and audience targeting. Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels. Create engaging content aligned with the school's digital strategy and maintain a detailed digital media calendar.
- Web Management: Act as the custodian of the School's online presence, ensuring timely updates and adherence to branding guidelines.
- Corporate Communication: Formulate and execute communication plans that align with organizational goals, collaborating with relevant stakeholders on press releases and media outreach.
- Marketing Communication: Develop marketing campaigns and materials for various programs and initiatives. Disseminate news and updates through multiple channels, including newsletters and social media, while managing the school's brand image.
- Event Coordination: Oversee the planning and execution of school events, including outreach and admissions activities, research symposiums, and conferences, while fostering relationships with various departments and vendors.
- Engagement with Students, Donors, and Alumni: Provide strategic advice on marketing communications and support for related events. Develop and implement a communications plan targeting donors and alumni.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in communication or a related field, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in social media, digital marketing, and communications.
- Strong understanding of the evolving media landscape and digital marketing strategies.
- Proficient in major social media platforms and content creation.
- Experience with design and editing software, as well as social media management tools.
- Basic knowledge of web design and development.
- Excellent command of English for effective communication and writing.
